Become a member of a vibrant department https://cehs.unl.edu/secd/home/ As the Student Services Associate for the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders, you will have a variety of responsibilities and job duties that requires the abilities to multi-task, and handle interruptions. You will provide administrative support for the department faculty, temporary faculty, staff and students. Administrative support for faculty includes, but is not limited to, formatting documents, scheduling meetings, copying, answering procedural questions, purchasing items, reserving rooms, and assisting with various business forms. Department level support includes, but is not limited to, answering the phone and emails, arranging student visits, coordinating committee and program meetings and writing minutes. This position will assist with instructional related tasks including, but not limited to, ordering textbooks and course materials, tracking undergraduate program applications and admission criteria, preparing admission letters, enrollment reports, maintaining advising sheets, and grade submissions. This position will maintain spreadsheets and program data by setting up and entering data, pulling reports, and assisting faculty and students with questions. This position provides administrative support for awards which includes collecting and submitting awards materials, tracking awards decisions, schedule and prepare documents for meetings, draft letters, as needed. This person will also hire, train and supervise student workers who support daily operations of the clinic resource room. Minimum Required Qualifications: High school plus two years experience in a professional office environment with increasing responsibilities, including evidence of multi-tasking, customer/client service and the ability to communicate across diverse platforms. equivalent education/experience considered. Ability to work with others. Knowledge of Office 365. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a research environment helpful Knowledge of APA manual and Canvas desirable. Working knowledge of the University, processes, procedures and contacts on campus preferred. Supervisory experience helpful. Posted Salary: $17.75/hr minimum Job Type: Full-Time
