Basic Job Functions:
The Rolling Mill Utility will learn and function at a safe, high level in all positions on the rolling crew. This will include the Reheat/Crane/BD and UR/Sample Inspection and other necessary mill duties. This position must either have or attain crane certification within one year of start date. The Utility position will assist with basic maintenance of equipment, as well as assisting in other areas as needed for safe and efficient production. The Utility must have basic computer skills, willing to operate all mill equipment, work in extreme weather conditions, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
6 months Roll Mill experience

Mechanical Knowledge: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and/or maintenance.
