Job Summary and Qualifications

The Consulting IAM Application Engineer is expected to fortify our organization and spearhead the crafting, execution, and upkeep of our identity governance and administration (IGA) systems. As a Consulting IAM Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in masterminding, broadening, and refining our IGA capabilities beyond application onboarding. You will unite with cross-functional teams, including IT administrators, security analysts, and business stakeholders, to guarantee the effective utilization and continuous enhancement of our IGA systems. You will act as a team lead empowering other team members, and encourage growth among team members. You will help to apply software design patterns to achieve a consistent and standards approach to implementation of new features and expanding the connection with other enterprise systems with key performance indicators in focus..

  • Engineer and sustain our identity governance and administration (IGA) systems, including architecture, workflows, and integration with various systems.
  • Strategize with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into technical specifications and design documents for IGA system advancements.
  • Tailor and refine IGA tools and technologies to meet the organization's specific needs, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Craft and preserve IGA operational procedures, guidelines, and documentation for user onboarding, access provisioning, and access recertification.
  • Synergize with cross-functional teams to diagnose and remedy any issues related to the IGA systems, securing timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Monitor and evaluate IGA system performance and security logs, proactively safeguarding against any anomalies or security incidents.
  • Keep abreast of emerging IGA trends, technologies, and best practices, proposing recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to IT teams and end-users, resolving IGA-related issues.
  • Cultivate a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement, championing IGA best practices and knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support IGA-related audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Evaluate and select IGA tools and technologies, recommending based on organizational needs, scalability, and ease of use.
  • As we support hospitals that care for patients 24x7x365, commit to 24x7x365 on-call support rotation with 10-minute response times.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree Information Technology or other applicable degree 
  • 7+ years of experience in Identity & Access or Information Technology job role 

Other Qualifications

  • Microsoft (C#, ASP.net, MS-SQL, Active Directory, Azure, Entra ID) + Oracle 
  • Expert knowledge in Database design, Data Warehousing ETLs, t-SQL performance improvement with large datasets exceeding 1 Million rows, Index tuning, and stored procedures 
  • Expert Knowledge in HTML, CSS, Javascript, URL coding, JSON, XML, SOAP, and Rest API, including performance and error trapping 
  • Command Line, Powershell, Python, uiPath, API (SOAP / REST) Professional certifications in IGA (e.g., CISSP, IGA-specific certifications) are highly desirable. 
  • Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex access control scenarios and identify root causes. 
  • Solid understanding of network and system security principles and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption. 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of identity governance and administration (IGA) concepts, methodologies, and best practices. 
  • Strong experience in managing and enhancing IGA systems, including architecture, workflows, roles, and policies. 
  • Proficiency in IGA tools and technologies, such as Saviynt, Imprivata, and their capabilities. 
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and frameworks related to IGA, such as HIPAA, and HITECH.
