Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Incumbent provides patient care to an assigned group of patients focusing on meeting the clinical needs of the clinic. Incumbent will perform patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Assists with procedures and patient education. The nurse incorporates the psycho-motor and age appropriate cognitive skills of the patient/family/significant other utilizing knowledge of patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

Required Qualifications:
- PALS certification upon hire
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of 6 months demonstrated nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting
- Knowledge and practice of body mechanics
- Knowledge and practice of age related acuity levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge and practice of infection control techniques
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a constantly changing environment
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of JCAHO requirements
- Previous experience in GI with manometry procedures
- Minimum of 1 year demonstrated nursing experience in a related acute care setting
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families
