Diesel Mechanic - Military Veterans

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems in trucks, buses, and other heavy equipment. This role requires strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosis and Repair:

Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and systems.
Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vital components.
Maintenance:

Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
Ensure all equipment is maintained according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Parts Management:

Order and manage replacement parts and supplies as needed.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Safety Compliance:

Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any unsafe conditions or practices to management.
Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs and maintenance needs.
Provide high-quality service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used.
Complete work orders and reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training preferred.
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
