Camp Manager - Military Veterans
at Amentum
Responsible for the day-to day operations of the program by coordinating, managing, and monitoring the various departments of the various camps within Baledogle namely the 600man Camp (BMTC), Hasan Tuure Training Camp (DOTC), Amentum Life Support Camp, and UAS GCS compound.
The Camp Manager/Mentor shall be the primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to the Statement of Work (SOW) and shall bear ultimate responsibility for ensuring the requirements described herein are met. The camp manager is required to be fully acquainted and familiar with the SOW in question.
The Camp Manager/Mentor will assist with coordination between military senior logistics representatives and other U.S. government-funded programs and personnel as it pertains to the 600man camp and military operations as well as the Hassan Tuure Training Facility.
600Man camp and DOTC departments and related tasks.
Camp Management (BMTC and DOTC) Conduct daily toolbox / planning meetings with the department heads. Assisting all department managers in the daily operations of their departments. Provide guidance and oversight to department heads. Receive, review, and submit staff R&R requests to the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) for final consideration and approval. Resolving possible conflict issues between host nation military personnel and department heads. Liaise with military and US DoD personnel on operational requirements / requests. Ensure logistics movements of fuel, spares, and operations and maintenance (O&M) materials are arranged and executed in a timely fashion. Responsible for fuel orders for both vehicles and generator bulk fuel. Submit purchase requests to RMPO/ project manager (PM) / deputy PM (DPM) for approval. Review daily department reports and file accordingly on the server. Receive, review, and submit weekly situation reports (SITREP) to RPMO DPM. Receive, review, and submit monthly reports to RPMO in a timely fashion. Conduct quarterly Government Funded Equipment (GFE) reports in a timely fashion. Oversee and manage the O&M, Workshop and troop medical clinic (TMC) budgets. Compiling a budget tracker on a monthly basis and submit to RPMO for review. Mentor four military mentees in Camp Management. Attend bi-weekly security meetings involving all relevant role players. Act as liaison with all military units for timely security clearance of local national staff, sub-contractors, and delivery vehicles. Ensure the application and enforcement of Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures.
Troop Medical Clinic (BMTC) Verify monthly medicine inventory with TMC mentors and ensure purchase of any requirements within budget.
Vehicle Maintenance Workshop (BMTC) Verify weekly and monthly inventory and ensure the vehicle maintenance technician as well as the generator specialist have sufficient spares on hand. Weekly inspection of work orders and generator maintenance documentation. Ensure weekly submission of the Vehicle Inventory and Conditions (VIC) report to RPMO. Ensure timely completion of workshop repairs to comply with the SOW.
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) - (BMTC and DOTC) Support O&M engineers in ensuring the camp maintenance is up to date. Ensure that the camp has a constant supply of both raw and potable water by means of borehole and reverse osmosis water purification plant (ROWPU) operations. Ensure that the camp has constant power supply through generators. Review O&M weekly purchase requests for approval within budget. Ensure facilities and camp are clean and all equipment in working order.
Amentum Life Support Camp and MAG UAV/GCS
Support the Camp Facilities Manager in ensuring the facilities are clean, operational, and safe. Provide oversight to the kitchen and monthly food ordering process. Ensure the ground control station (GCS) compound is clean. Ensure constant electricity supply to the GCS and the Life Support Camp (LSC). Ensure timely delivery of fuel to both LSC and GCS. Conduct a monthly security / emergency drill. Ensure compliance with the company Environmental, Health and Safety Regulations. Work with the Vehicle Maintenance Technician to ensure all Amentum vehicles are clean and fully mission capable (FMC).
Requirements - Desired Qualifications:
Excellent knowledge in both the written and spoken English language. Conversant and skilled in the use of Microsoft office products, with emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing administrative and logistics services. This includes operational logistics assessments and meeting quality control standards for services. Must have experience supervising and directing a workforce of 10-20 foreign national individuals. Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Ability to operate independently in austere environment for protracted periods. Police or Military background is preferred.
