Job Summary Responsibilities: Reprocessing of Flexible Endoscopes i.e. Gastroscopes, Colonoscopes, Duodenoscopes, Linear/Radial Ultrasound Scopes, Therapeutic Scopes, Bronchoscopes, and High Resolution Manometry Catheters according to Manufactures Instructions for Use with adherence to best practice guidelines ANSI/AAMI ST79, ST58, ST91, AORN, SGNA and BCH facility IPC policies to deliver medical devices safe for use. Perform dry and wet leak testing of scopes using automated and manual leak testers Perform manual cleaning of medical devices and scopes Perform scope HLD using the assistance of (AER) Automated Endoscope Reprocessor Perform aspiration and flushing of scope channels manually and with automated assistance Perform manual HLD of catheters according to MIFU using the HLD soak stations Perform visual inspection using magnification assistance of medical devices and scopes Performs HLD solution(s) temperature recording, MRC concentration testing recording and logging all steps throughout the process. Perform medical device tagging/ tracking/logging, sterile supply storage monitoring, scope cabinet maintenance and medical device transport Perform daily, weekly and monthly equipment maintenance Perform other duties as assigned To qualify, you must have: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 1 year experience with in Sterile Processing or Endoscopy Strong knowledge of aseptic technique Strong knowledge of medical device reprocessing, care, handling, use and transport Strong Customer service and communication skills to develop working relationships with staff Strong Problem solving skills, prioritization and situational assessment skills The ability to work independently and as a team player Certification Preferred: HSPA - CRCST, CER and/or CBSPD - CSPDT, CFER Active pending certification with documented proof of education pursuit will also be considered Boston Children?s Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits, including a flexible schedule, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition Reimbursement, and discounted rates on T-passes (50% off).
