The Senior HTM Technician - Per Diem: Independently services complex medical device systems and high-risk equipment. Works collaboratively with the Information Services Department and other support service departments to manage integrated medical systems. Performs routine repairs on a broad range of electromechanical medical equipment using basic test equipment and repair tools. Prepares and maintains related documentation. Performs preventative maintenance testing of routine electromechanical medical equipment according to established procedures. Understands medical device regulations and ensures assigned medical devices are managed in compliance with those regulations. Participates in inspection tours of clinical and/or research areas using medical equipment. Documents all service actions and complies with documentation guidelines and metrics defined in department policy. Builds and maintains customer relationships and independently manages clinical resource area(s). Consults and collaborates with peers to resolve outstanding issues. Acts as a technical resource for both colleagues and clinical customer base. To qualify, you must have: Associate degree in biomedical engineering or a closely related field required. Minimum of 2 years of related work experience required. Ability to take initiative to troubleshoot complex assignments. Comprehensive ability and knowledge of electromechanical devices. Ability to proactively understand and address customer needs and/or issues of varying complexities and to find effective solutions with few guidelines. Collaboratively work with other hospital support service departments (e.g., Information Services Department). Ability to perform at a high level of reliability in all duties.
