KEY RESULT AREAS (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
Study plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations
Repair and maintain high voltage systems
Organize work by receiving and studying work orders; gather tools and supplies
Read prints, layout work and install new service
Repair electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and components
Maintain electrical systems by conducting system tests; complete preventive maintenance requirements
Keep supplies ready by placing orders
Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with codes
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read technical publications
Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Limited ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals
Ability to work with tools, such as, power and non-powered hand tools
Willing and able to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions
Ability to work safely with electrical equipment
Mentor and train other team members on your crews
Knowledge of working with HV/MV/LV AC/DC electrical systems
Ability to handle materials that can weigh up to 200Ibs
Strong teamwork orientation
Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
Detail oriented
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Electrical Journeyman License (preferred)
Minimum of 4 years Electrical experience (required)
Current driver's license (required)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Ability to frequently work in heat and other weather conditions
B. Frequently crouch, kneel, squat, climb
C. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs
D. Frequently reach high and low places
E. Ability to see, hear, balance, and review job sites
F. Ability to stand and walk throughout work day
G. Ability to use repetitive hand/arm/leg movements
