Assistant Stage Manager - Military Veterans

at HERC- Upper MidWest

Carnegie Mellon University's College of Fine Arts is searching for an Assistant Stage Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

Covers drama and related technical positions that do not meet exemption status requirements base on role or regulatory salary floor requirements. These jobs are mostly found in Drama and related areas. Some illustrative titles include Audio Engineer, Piano Technician, Seamstress, Draper, Print Shop Technician, Carpenter, Painter and Photographer.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Actual responsibilities will vary depending on job function. Functional areas could include audio, piano, print shop, etc.
  • Assist the stage manager in rehearsal prep.
  • Setup and teardown.
  • Work with Director on rehearsal schedule and daily rehearsal calls, communicating all to the student cast.
  • Keep prop, music, blocking, costume and scenic notes to be given to the production team.
  • Attend production meetings as able.
  • Leave collected info to pass on to the show Assistant Stage Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School or GED
