Director of Advising & Technology Initiatives
The Director of Advising & Technology Initiatives leads the activities, operations, and management of advising and technology support services offered within the Office of Associate Vice Provost for Student Success. The academic advising support services is an academic advising support unit focused on providing campus-wide centralized academic advising support for academic advising units to support the undergraduate student academic success, retention, and progression towards graduation. The incumbent is responsible for identifying & addressing advisor & student training support for academic planning, logistical support for new student advising, coordination of assessment efforts, and support for the academic advising strategic activities. Other responsibilities include collaboration with other DSS offices, developing strong partnerships with academic colleges, and service on university committees. The Director is considered a part of senior leadership team within the Division of Student Success [DSS]; the Division coordinates campus-wide efforts to improve undergraduate retention and persistence to graduation using a data-informed strengths-based approach focused on student growth and well-being.
