Faculty Position in Migration Location: University of Notre Dame campus Open Date: Sep 17, 2024 Deadline: Nov 06, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description: The University of Notre Dame's Keough School of Global Affairs, in conjunction with the Notre Dame Poverty Initiative, is searching for an Associate or Full Professor who works in migration. The Keough School anticipates multiple hires in this area. Duties include research, teaching and service. Each professorship will be based in the Keough School , which promotes interdisciplinary and policy-relevant research on critical issues in global affairs, transformative educational programs, and partnerships for global engagement. The Keough School approaches global affairs and development through a focus on integrated human development, which is also central to the University of Notre Dame's mission. Each successful candidate will be a core faculty member of the Klau Institute for Civil and Human Rights and an affiliated faculty member of the university's new population center, Notre Dame Population Analytics. These units will provide substantial resources to support research. Qualifications: Competitive candidates for this position will have a scholarly track record with evidence of high-quality research as well as experience or interest in policy engagement. Candidates should have a PhD in economics, political science, sociology or related fields. A successful candidate's research on migration will contribute to population studies and will exhibit policy and/or scholarly engagement with questions of human dignity and human rights.
