The Assistant Director of Athletics reports to the Director of Athletics and Recreation on all matters related to the position description listed below. This position supports the Director of Athletics in all aspects of the department?s operations, including but not limited to athletic program management, compliance with regulations, promotion of student-athlete achievements, and enhancement of athletic facilities. The successful candidate will excel at working in a community that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion. Areas of responsibility are as follows: Responsible for the oversight and execution of the department?s efforts in varsity and recreational event management and operations. This includes organization of calendars and schedules, coordination with sport officials, and direct supervision of student workers in these, and other, functions Works closely with the Business Manager in the area of summer camps and clinics Direct oversight of Intramural sport programming and staff Responsible for eligibility certification, oversight of compliance with NCAA and Liberty League rules and procedures, and compliance education for the College?s intercollegiate athletics program Active involvement with various campus committees and meetings Responsible for advising, communication and planning for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Management of equipment inventory and planning Coordination of department-wide community engagement activities in partnership with the College?s Center for Civic Engagement Additional duties as assigned Candidates should have exceptionally strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills Candidates should be familiar with NCAA Division III rules and regulations, and the Division III philosophy for intercollegiate athletics Extremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivated Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively with institutional staff, administrators, coaches, student-athletes, and external partners Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines Comprehensive knowledge of Division III intercollegiate athletics, NCAA rules, regulations, and governance structures Experience in student-athlete development, wellness and academic programming To apply, please submit a cover letter, resume, and three professional references to Interfolio. Compensation: $55,000-$62,000 This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
