Strategically assists, manages, and supports Division Operations and implements new initiatives using effective project management skills in collaboration with and under the direction of the Division Dean. Operations and Personnel Management Collaborates with the Dean in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs in alignment with current and emerging industry needs. Works with Program Coordinators to assess the effectiveness of lab assistants. Identifies and recommends staffing needs to the Dean. Provides oversight and supervision to Education and Work Center, Learning Career Center, and the WIOA partnership. Interviews and recommends the selection of adjunct faculty. Evaluate division adjunct faculty and serves as initial contact for complaints and resolutions related to adjunct faculty. Maintains awareness of and assures compliance with employee contract and handbook procedures. Attends and participates in institutional committee meetings. Serves as Deans designee for institutional meetings and events. Facilitates conflict resolution among staff, and others within the Division in consultation with the Dean. Facilitates internal and external Division events. Performs other duties as assigned. Fiscal Assists the Academic Operations Manager in the budget development process within the Division under the direction of the Dean. Manages division requests for information and resources by faculty and staff to other areas of the College (i.e., IT, marketing, recruitment, research, etc.) and from other areas of the college to ensure timely responses. Reviews and verifies financial and operational analyses reports. Research, Reporting, Project Management Facilitates program review process, departmental plans, and annual updates. Collaborates with faculty in data collection and to complete reports on time supplying required information. Monitors enrollment within Division for trends and advanced warning for program growth or decline. Coordinates data collection for self-study and accreditation; conducts initial review of self-study documents. Conducts initial review of self-study documents prior to Dean's review Assists in the development of Perkins Programs of Study. Conducts an initial review of Perkins quarterly and annual reports prior to Dean's review. Communication Supports divisional success by maintaining open communication and collaboration. Maintains and ensures timely content is represented on the division website. Responsible for marketing efforts with a focus on academic programs. Academic Program Management Collaborates with the Dean, Academic Operations Manager, Chairs, and Coordinators to ensure a dynamic and student-centered class schedule that ensures students can complete programs of study efficiently. Assists with the development and implementation of new programs, collaborates with Dean on new program ideation, collects data on workforce trends and needs, and completion of state approval forms. Considers pathway alignment of community education, continuing professional education, and credit programming in program development. Collaborates with Strategic Planning and Research to maintain awareness of district needs, particularly those reflected in programs offered within the Division. Monitors program compliance with articulation agreements and accreditation standards. Professional Development Develops skills necessary for effective academic management and leadership. Education: Master's Degree, preferably in higher education leadership or a discipline represented by the Division. Experience: Minimum of two years continuous supervisory and/or management experience working in higher education. Must have a thorough understanding and direct experience in Career and Technical Programs. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of planning, program development, evaluation, and budgeting, preferably in a community college setting. Preferred : Two or more years as a Department Chair, Program Coordinator, Operations Manager, or similar academic leadership. Direct experience working with Career and Technical programs.
