Typical duties include:

• ordering of supplies, as needed.
• verifying and comparing prices, as well as preparing purchase orders.
• reviewing financial documents for accuracy and adherence to procedural requirements; and carrying out procedural steps to ensure payment, which involves scanning and entering invoices into the financial system for processing.
• The position is also responsible for tracking encumbrances, adjusting as payments are made, maintaining cost accounting records at program level, balancing, and reconciling of accounts, and preparing summaries and cost statistics.
• In addition, this position will assist program managers and the public in answering questions on payments and providing explanation on proper use of forms and documents; sign for deliveries; distribute daily mail; ensure needed supplies are delivered to programs; process travel requisitions, pay registration, hotel, and airfare; make contract payments and balances; train new staff; and assist accountants on expense information for grant billing and reporting.

Microsoft Office 365 intermediate user is desired- Software of special note is Excel and Teams. This clerk position needs someone who can move from task to task quickly in addition to taking on customer service duties from division staff.
