Forensic Dentistry Faculty, Part-Time Position, Department of Comprehensive Care, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine Description The Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) Department of Comprehensive Care is seeking a part-time/adjunct faculty with expertise in Forensic Dentistry. Reporting to the Chair of Comprehensive Care, the faculty is expected to develop the forensic dentistry curriculum, and be involved with the endowed lectureship and lecture on forensic dentistry topics. This position is a three-year position. Basic Requirements: Candidates must meet basic requirements to be considered for this position DDS/DMD. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts. Substantial experience in forensic dentistry. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for dentistry and a strong desire to teach students in a demanding, fast-paced, academic environment. Excellent time management skills. Collaborative and cooperative. Reliable and dependable. Ability to effectively manage multiple demands. Experience in an academic/teaching environment Excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of scholarly activities Demonstrated interest in dental education through active participation in associations and ongoing dental education. Current Diplomate, or actively working towards board certification, of the American Board of Forensic Odontology Fellow (Active or Retired) or Member (Active) of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, Odontology Section Member, American Society of Forensic Odontology Documented experience in forensic dental identification, to include antemortem and postmortem evidence reviews and reports of identification conclusions consistent with the American Board of Forensic Odontology Guidelines. Experience in mass casualty identifications preferred. Experience in instruction of Forensic Odontology/Dentistry at the postgraduate level.
