Electrical Design Engineer hybrid remote work opportunity with a very stable client located in the Northeastern U.S. As a project lead on substation engineering design projects you will be responsible for ensuring project deadlines, design standards, and project schedules are all being met for the engineering specific portions of the projects. This position can sit in Akron, OH, Greensburg, PA, or Reading, PA. responsibilities:
- Manage multiple substation design engineering projects and deliverables
- Ensure project schedules and deadlines are being met as well as design standards
- Work collaboratively with internal and external teams on projects
- Ensure design standards are being met to include but not limited to QA/QC checklists, one lines, schematics, detail wiring diagrams, etc.
- Communicate with the different business units regarding project schedule compliance to ensure deliverables and schedules are within budget
- Other duties as assigned
- Qualifications:
- BSEE from an ABET accredited institution (will consider other ABET accredited BS degrees with relevant experience)
- Technical background in or working with power delivery equipment in the utility, heavy industrial, or a similar field
- Demonstrated ability to work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated interpersonal and collaborative team building skills to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients
- Familiarity with electrical utilities is a plus
