responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to develop new products that meet specific customer requirements and industry standards
- Conduct metallurgical analysis to determine the optimal elements and processing parameters for new products
- Monitor and analyze the quality of products throughout the cold rolling process
- Work with hot mill process engineering and production teams to optimize cold rolling processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
- Interpret metallurgical test results and provide technical reports
requirements:
- BS Metallurgy, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or similar
- Experience from a steelmaking or aluminum environment
- Cold mill / cold rolling experience required
- Compact Strip Production (CSP) experience desired
- strong communication skills required
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
