Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is currently accepting applications for the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Engagement. This position is a Full-Time, 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE), 12-Month position, that reports directly to the Vice President of University Advancement. The Executive Director position is eligible for the full array of benefits offered by EOU. The Executive Director of Development & Alumni Engagement (Executive Director) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and oversight of the University?s fundraising and alumni programs, campaigns, and related operations to drive giving to EOU. The position is also the Director of EOU?s Centennial Campaign, the university?s next comprehensive philanthropic effort. Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement, the Executive Director builds and maintains organizational infrastructure to enable effective and successful campaigns and is charged with the strategy, longer-term and day-to-day management of donor relationships, and alumni engagement with the university. The Executive Director serves as the senior fundraiser and alumni engagement professional at EOU and actively manages all fundraising and Alumni-related operations. The position works with senior leadership, including the President and Trustees and the EOU Foundation Board and Alumni Association Board, on fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor relationship efforts in response to the University?s goals. The Executive Director serves as the director of the EOU Centennial Campaign and is responsible for developing and managing the strategy and support of the campaign. The position manages donor stewardship alumni engagement, carries an active portfolio of donors, and engages with them for philanthropy and support of the institution. The Executive Director also trains university leadership, deans, faculty, and staff in the practices and culture of philanthropic giving and fundraising campaigns to expand support for EOU. The Executive Director directs and supervises the efforts of the fundraising staff, acts as a backup to the Vice President as designated, and acts as a gap filler, coach, mentor, and bridge builder for the division as a whole and across the university to develop a culture of philanthropy.
