Clinical Instructor, Human Development Counseling - Military Veterans

The Human Development Counseling (HDC) program at the University of Illinois Springfield invites applications for a clinical instructor position beginning August 16, 2025. The HDC program offers specializations in clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, and marriage, couple, family counseling. Applicants must possess a master's or doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program and relevant clinical experience in the field. The clinical instructor will teach a range of counseling courses including providing clinical supervision in practicum and internship. Additionally, the clinical instructor will be involved in all program related activities including admissions processes, student evaluation and assessment, weekly department meetings, relevant personnel processes, and closure processes. In this position, the clinical instructor will form community connections and liaise with clinical sites regarding student clinical experiences.
This is a full-time on-campus position and benefit-eligible non-tenured academic appointment. UIS faculty are expected to be available and engaged in the university community to perform professional responsibilities as assigned.
