Production Supervisor - Military Veterans

In this role you will be responsible for supervising production of a quality product, these facilities produce concrete blocks at acceptable cost levels. You will report to the day shift Plant Manager and your responsibilities will include the efficient and effective utilization of human resources, plant and equipment.

They will provide on the job training but once you are trained and up to speed, you will be out on the floor daily, acting as the Plant Manager on the 2nd shift. The most critical thing they are looking for is a strong leader who can champion safety, leading and building your team of usually 5-6 teammates on a shift (could be up to 18 at some locations). You will lead safety and production meetings, so strong communications skills are imperative.

Having a strong maintenance and troubleshooting background is important for this role as well as they have electrical, mechanical, and automated equipment that your team is responsible to keep it all up and running. They need someone who can be a "hands-on" supervisor, working alongside with your team making sure the plant keeps producing quality products on time, assisting in troubleshooting and repairing this equipment.

You will be running the whole plant on your shift, so you will have admin, training, maintenance, production, inventory, financial, hiring, and firing responsibilities.

Again, they will teach you all you need to know but you must be able to multitask and be motivated to learn it all. There is plenty of room for upward mobility, to a Plant Manager, then possibly to a Regional Manager role.

The shift schedule varies from location to location, and they have several locations open right now, but it is usually for overnight shifts.

It is also a covered, open-air environment, so you will be exposed to heat and cold depending on the temperature.

Base salary, $65K - $80K, plus 10% bonus, and a great benefits plan.
