At Sinclair Tractor, we pride ourselves on being the destination in Southeast Iowa for agricultural equipment, precision farming, agronomic decision support, NAPA parts and supplies. With thirteen John Deere dealerships, five NAPA parts locations and a Supply Store, we are looking for motivated and talented people to join our team.
Purpose
Responsible for the operations of the distribution warehouse, proactively guiding your team, utilizing Lean tools and methodologies, to initiate safety-focused warehouse operations.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Focus on continuous improvement within the function to make programs and processes more efficient and cost effective; always looking for gaps in efficiency and executing on optimization
- Responsible for managing the Sinclair Tractor Distribution Center
- Review and improve logistics processes and programs for Sinclair Tractor
- Review and improve the efficiencies of the current routes - develop routes if demand and additional efficiencies are required.
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, or customer issues.
- Oversee and recommend store and warehouse material management process improvements to prevent supply chain disruptions.
- Review and make recommendations to our current supply chain localization strategy to identify local vendors for procurement
- Review and improve the distribution center design by material flow, and product handling systems; evaluation and recommending new equipment and systems for optimization and growth.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Understands and demonstrates the Companys core values
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of inventory management and logistics best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- All weather conditions
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs
- Warehouse setting
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Lifting at least 75 pounds
- Travel as needed
