Parts Professionals and other related parts department roles at John Deere dealerships play a critical role by providing exceptional parts support to our customers and internal service teams. This is a key position that requires a strong understanding of equipment parts and exceptional customer service skills on a wide range of agricultural, construction, and turf equipment. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-tier customer satisfaction and upholding the quality standards synonymous with the John Deere brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and locating the right parts for agricultural, construction, and turf equipment.
- Utilize the dealership's inventory management system to track, order, and manage parts inventory.
- Handle incoming parts inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate and timely information to meet customer needs.
- Process parts orders, invoices, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the parts department to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Collaborate with the service and sales teams to provide comprehensive support to customers, actively contributing to achieving customer satisfaction and dealership sales targets.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or parts management training is a plus.
- Proven experience in a parts department or similar role, preferably in the agricultural, construction, or automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of John Deere equipment and parts, including part numbers, functions, and compatibility.
- Proficiency in using computerized parts and inventory systems.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and parts (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Forklift operation certification for moving heavy parts.
- Experience with John Deere Parts ADVISOR™ or similar parts information systems
- Knowledge of warranties and parts return procedures
Additional Information
- This position may require occasional travel for field service calls or training purposes.
- Compliance with all safety and environmental regulations is essential for this role.
