Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director of Ticketing, Marketing & Strategy, the Athletic Marketing & Gameday Experiences Manager serves as a brand steward for key sports within UC Davis Athletics, driving strategy that illuminates the brand and key department initiatives. The position is responsible for establishing a strong anity with external constituents, building and establishing a single unied voice for messaging and enhancing customer service capabilities and performance. Additionally, the position is responsible for enhancing the fan experience, and successfully promoting the varsity sport programs.

Minimum Qualifications

For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license, certification and/or educational degree if required of the position.

  • Bachelor's degree, in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing, designing and implementing creative promotional and advertising strategies.
  • Two years' experience in Division I Intercollegiate Athletics or professional sports.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large number of constituents: administrators, staff, students, donors, alumni, and media professionals.
  • Excellent judgment in the handling of confidential information.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Analytical and research skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree, in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years' experience in Intercollegiate Athletics or professional sports
  • Knowledge of UC Davis, including its achievements, mission, goals, vision, and objectives.
  • Skill and experience to mentor less experienced staff.
