Job Summary
Responsible for running audits and analysis on various types of contract & pricing requests to ensure profitability and maintaining price accuracy. Requests include review of all new Local Vendor Contracts (LVCs).
Job Description
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform audits and analysis to ensure profitability and price accuracy before new LVCs are loaded.
- Review pricing to determine items that are priced outside of the normal predetermined range to improve profitability.
- Manage contract process by communicating any contract changes to sales team. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc email communications.
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance audits for various pricing & contract considerations to ensure a high level of pricing accuracy.
- Enter and maintain contracts into Medline's system. Add items, make appropriate changes, such as pricing and end dates.
- Work with sales teams and vendor contract department to ensure connection of local contracts and contract extensions are completed.
- Review and monitor contracts to ensure no gaps in customers expected price. Work on monthly expiring contracts and make necessary system adjustments.
- Advise Medline sales force on appropriate pricing procedures, troubleshoot pricing issues and recommend pricing solutions where needed. Streamline processes to improve efficiencies and address questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Elevate issues to upper management as necessary. Generate and maintain SOP documentation.
- Collaborate and maintain relationships with all parties including Medline sales team, designated service managers and Group owners. Support Associate Analysts in resolving complex issues.
- Collaborate with sales and IS to develop, create and maintain reporting requirements and ensure that systems provide accurate and timely data.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor's degree.
Work Experience
- At least 2 years of contract or pricing experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
- Time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates. Ability to work through details of a problem, overcoming obstacles, and reaching a positive and successful solution.
- Strong communication skills with various audiences.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external resources.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Work Experience
- Experience in SAP and/or Vistex.
- Process improvement/IT systems experience.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge or understanding of some basic software programming language such as SQL is preferred.
