Maintenance Coordinator - Purchasing
Opportunity summary: As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, clerical and administrative planning services to internal and external customers and be the main contact for all OEM contacts, contractors and regulatory bodies. As a Maintenance Coordinator you will plan facility repairs and perform plant day-to-day reviews to ensure that the facility is operating reliably and safely. You will schedule and coordinate planned maintenance work. The Maintenance Coordinator will also be responsible for Environmental compliance, all site purchasing and plant inventory management.
How you will impact WestRock:
- Manage and track maintenance budget, identify variances, and provide explanations to justify budget deviations
- Coordinate the work of maintenance contactors with the production schedule
- Identify parts required for necessary maintenance efforts (preventative maintenance, machine repairs, etc.) and plan/budget for the acquisition of required parts
- Order all raw material inventory, machinery spare parts, site supplies, janitorial supplies etc.
- Complete purchase requisitions
- Check and correctly code invoices to match purchase orders
- Develop hands-on knowledge and expertise of production equipment, parts, functions and processes through observation and engaging with employees on the production floor
- Serve as critical member to the Production team, representing the interest of the group in all work activities both internal and external to the facility
- Partner with Maintenance Contractors and determine feasibility and safety controls for work to be performed
- Communicate with production team and maintenance contractors to resolve chronic and repeat failures with equipment, provide status updates on maintenance efforts, and gather feedback
- Participate in production meetings with Maintenance to review upcoming work requests, weekly scheduling, and outage planning
- Ensure the site is compliant with all Environmental company and provincial policies and regulations
- Complete all environmental audits and administration
- Ensure all inventory stocks are well maintained by conducting frequent inventory checks
- All other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
- High School diploma Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience in manufacturing industry in both maintenance coordination, purchasing and inventory management
- Proven track record of analytical skills that drive decision-making
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Microsoft
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and take action in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is $55,500.00 - $92,500.00, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentive, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and a number of programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work. Your actual pay will be based on your work location and other factors, such as your skills, experience, and education.
