Posting Description MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA) - PRIMARY CARE , MIT Health , is responsible for assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses with evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits and other tasks consistent with training and skills. Will be the primary liaison between clinical staff and the patient; play an active role in preparing for the daily operations of patient visits as well as implementing key activities; lead twice daily huddle sessions to ensure all pertinent patient information is communicated between all clinical staff as well as having all appropriate materials available so that care is delivered effectively and efficiently; manage HealtheLife requests, ensure the patient comprehends medical treatment information provided by each provider, as well as use the best medium to follow up with each patient to ensure treatment plan compliance; and comply with established risk management, safety procedures, all local, state, and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations. Find a full job description here: https://health.mit.edu/jobs Job Requirements REQUIRED : High School diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or has obtained a Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA) and a minimum of two years of experience working in a physicians office; current active BLS certification; ability to move 15 pounds or more, including but not limited to the placement of infants and children on examination tables or weighing scales; excellent critical thinking, communication, interpersonal, diplomacy, organizational, problem-solving, and Phlebotomy skills; accuracy and attention to detail; CPR certification and participation in site-based CPR drills; and ability to prioritize tasks in a complex and busy environment and see them through to completion.
