Inquiry Coordinator | University of California San Francisco - Military Veterans

Applies knowledge about curriculum, requirements and educational activities to coordinate professional health education programs. Coordinates and maintains program operations, which may include teaching and learning activities, program curriculum, learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner compliance, and program accreditation. The Inquiry curriculum is a significant element of the UCSF Medical School Bridges Curriculum, aimed at transforming future physicians from mere consumers of research into creators and investigators. The Inquiry curriculum spans all four years of medical school and encourages students to explore significant healthcare challenges such as disparities in health outcomes across the nation and groundbreaking discoveries in the management of pandemic diseases. The Inquiry Curriculum coordinator will apply knowledge and expertise to manage the day-to-day operations and events of the Inquiry element within the Bridges Curriculum. This role is responsible for oversight of various Inquiry programs that support medical students throughout their four years, helping them to identify viable projects and build strong mentor relationships. Key responsibilities include: Overseeing program operations such as teaching and learning activities, scheduling, database maintenance, and upholding program and policy standards for Medical Education. Understanding the different Inquiry tracks and resources and collaborating with team members to facilitate seamless transitions between courses and programs. Coordinating the annual Designing and Conducting Research course and managing curriculum-related tasks for the Visit a Mentor, Summer Explore, Yearlong Research Fellowship, and MD with Distinction programs. Collaborating with faculty leads to communicate program requirements, manage student assessments, and conduct program evaluations. Partnering with another Inquiry team member to co-lead the organization and execution of student research events, which provide a platform for students to share their projects with the broader UCSF Medical Education community. Collaborating with event vendors, managing budgets, and overseeing event communications with all students and stakeholders. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
