Qualifications: ECON 120, Data Management for Economics Undergraduate Spring Semester, 02/03/2025 - 05/25/2025, MWF 8:00 AM - 9:05 AM , Moraga Campus This 2 unit course, required of all econ majors, prepares students to use data effectively. Students are first introduced to the basics of handling and manipulating data using current and relevant software. Thereafter, they will learn to survey popular economics databases and learn how to select and access data appropriate to a given research and other questions. Furthermore, the data management process includes evaluating and dealing with data quality issues; organizing and manipulating the data to prepare them for statistical analysis; and presenting data and analytical results effectively. Prerequisites: DATA 105L Probalility and Statistics Lab Qualifications Ph.D. Candidate in Economics is highly desired and has a successful record of teaching Microeconomic Principles at the college level. - Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. - Candidates must perform all course-related work within the state of California - Salary: $6,480 and $10,308 dependent on qualifications. The salary range for this position is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, who have previously taught the course or ECON 020, available here .
