We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.

Job Summary

+ Prepares, maintains and coordinates the drawing, revising, field checking and training of circuit prints, station and standard drawings, maps, charts and other drawings.

+ Works with other department personnel to obtain and verify information needed to produce detailed drawings from designer and engineer sketches for circuit drawings and one-lines.

+ Creates and updates drawings manually and through computer aided drafting system.

+ Maintains computer aided drafting system in operational condition.

+ Reviews sketches and drawings for compliance with company and state standards and current design practices.

+ Advises and trains less experienced personnel and assigns, distributes and monitors work.

+ Performs design activities to prepare complex construction drawings and material lists for mechanical, electrical and civil projects.

+ Orders all drafting materials and maintains inventory.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

+ 5+ years of relevant experience in drafting and/or graphics.

+ Full knowledge of drafting principles.

+ Full knowledge of computer aided drafting.

+ Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical or civil principles.

+ Skills: reproduction equipment, mechanical drawing, computer graphics, verbal and written communication. Abilities: analytical and abstract thinking, problem solving, process information quickly.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience in drafting and/or graphics.
