Your Role
Join Atlas Copco Comptec LLC as an Applications Engineering Lead, Decarbonization where you will will own & improve:
- Profitable Growth of our market share and product portfolio for current and emerging applications in the Decarbonization market segments.
- Decarbonization Products: Develop, maintain, and transparently share a complete global picture of the Decarbonization market and applicable products.
- Competitive Product Offerings: Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Marketing and R&D, using and sharing customer feedback to ensure products offered meet market and sustainability requirements.
- Align Applications Efforts: Ensure efforts are fully aligned with strategy, updated tools, customer presentation materials, maintain cost targets, document competitive intelligence, etc.
- Bridging Strategies: While we works to develop its capabilities and experience, you will take the lead on finding ways to de-risk potential projects while staying competitive and developing our position within the North American market.
To succeed, you will need
- How to build working relationships with cross functional teams to implement change and new product solutions.
- You have product sales skills, including affability, patience, and empathy with the needs of customers and internal stakeholders.
- You have a broad technical understanding of the performance, mechanical and electrical features of turbomachinery products.
- You understand the complexity of a turbomachinery product cost structure.
- You have used machinery performance tools to select turbomachinery solutions for various applications.
- How to compile a proposal and create customer focused content for a specific opportunity to gain customer confidence and ultimately the purchase order.
- You understand the commercial risks associated with custom turbomachinery business and have negotiated key commercial contract terms (i.e. Payment Terms, Delivery, Liquidated Damages, Limitation of Liability, Warranty, etc.).
- You will develop visionary leadership skills needed to navigate the emerging and fast-moving markets of Decarbonization.
- You will travel both domestic and internationally to work with customers in their time and space.
- You will develop a network of contacts and working relationship with the greater Gas and Process (GAP) Marketing, Sales and Applications teams.
- You will develop the skills necessary to convert customer and market requirements into product master specifications to properly guide and scope R&D efforts.
- You will learn about the broader GAP product offering and help identify opportunities for the GAP division to pursue.
- How to leverage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to identify market trends through data analysis and reporting.
This role reports to the Applications Engineering Manager and will work and collaborate as an integral part of a tight-knit and dynamic team helping to drive the successful capture of new equipment orders. Other team members include: Applications Engineering Leads, Applications Engineers, Controls Applications Engineers and Applications Technical Specialists.
