Job Type: Support Staff - Union Bargaining Unit: TWU - B&G Regular/Temporary: Regular Hours Per Week: 40 Standard Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 2:00pm - 12:00am Building: HVAC Shop Salary Range: $32.28 - $40.35 per hour The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary The Energy Management Systems Mechanic performs operations as required by job work order and/or blueprint or diagram in preventive maintenance and repairs of various types of HVAC equipment by microprocessor and makes adjustments either form central point or in the field. Responsibilities Adjust equipment operations to reflect building occupancy schedules, economical energy usage and to increase occupant comfort levels or provide proper. environmental levels for equipment operations. Troubleshoots building HVAC equipment systems. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or the equivalent required. Five (5) years' experience in HVAC required. Must be experienced in the maintenance and repairs of all types of package air conditioning units, pumps, PRV stations, air compressor, and temperature controllers under minimum supervision. Experience with mechanical and pneumatic controls and microprocessor-based systems highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications Mechanic trade school training highly preferred.
