Postdoctoral Associate - Military Veterans

Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for Center for Immunity and Inflammation. Under the direction of Dr Nicholas Bessman, the primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Fellow position is to perform specialized research activities and design and execute advanced experimental procedures in an immunology-focused
laboratory independently.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Designs, discusses, and performs diverse experimental models and techniques related to the study of innate cells.
• Contributesto generallaboratoryoperations,includingbreedingandgenotypingofmiceand general maintenanceof animal colonies.
• Developsnewideasforpromotion currentresearchforthe NJMS -CenterforImmunity and Inflammation.
• Operates andmaintains experimentalequipment.
• Records and analyzes data from experiments.
• Contributes to the development of performance standards, selection of methodology, instrumentation and coordination of the analytical, biochemical, physiology and instrumentation functions with the clinical and research areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the department.
• Prepares and publishes scientific manuscripts under the direction Principal Investigator.
• Attends and participates in seminars

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Ph.D., M.D. in a biological science or in a related field.
