A postdoctoral position in Physics and Chemical Engineering is available in the Physics Department of Carnegie Mellon University, with a start date of January 1, 2022. The candidate should have experience in experimental and computational studies of fluid wetting. The successful candidate will work with Prof. Stephen Garoff in Physics and Prof. Robert Tilton in Chemical Engineering. This position supports ten months of funding. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications, experience, and includes a full benefits package. The anticipated starting date is January 1, 2022. Applicants should have significant experience in computational studies of dynamic wetting on macroscopically rough surfaces as well as some familiarity with experimental methods to probe such surfaces. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering (or related fields) by the time of appointment. Applications should include a curriculum vitae, publication list, and a letter of recommendation from their present supervisor.
