Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Department/Area: Bioengineering Position Description: The Harvard Slade Lab is looking to hire a postdoctoral researcher to pursue cutting-edge research in human movement biomechanics and assistive technology. This work will involve developing novel technologies, posing scientific hypotheses, performing experiments, collaborating with other researchers, mentoring graduate students, publishing scientific results, and presenting at conferences. The ideal candidate will have experience in human subjects research, IRB documentation, fundamental biomechanics experiments, wearable sensing, and assistive robotics. Application materials should include a cover letter describing research interests and goals, a CV that includes a list of all publications and prior mentorship/outreach activities, and up to three relevant scientific papers that best represent the candidate's writing capability and scientific contributions. Basic Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field for biomechanics and assistive robotics. Additional Qualifications: Having some background in coding, controls, and AI/machine learning would be helpful for the role. Experience with participant recruitment and retention as well as clinical human subject studies is a plus.
