Materials Planning Supply Chain Manager - Military Veterans

Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Materials Planning Supply Chain Manager.
What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Lead plant’s Materials Planning, building a strong team, providing leadership, and directing all efforts need for Materials Planning processes, including SIOP, Customer Service, Master Scheduling, Materials Planning, Purchasing in alignment with Eaton policies, procedures and programs in support of our goals and objectives. Lead and/or support projects and/or initiatives based on business needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Function & Metrics: Lead Materials Management function focused on improving On Time Delivery, Inventory, Past Due, CONC Premium Freight, E&O, increasing Resiliency, ERP Health Data and OpA/MMA Maturity.
Establish plant’s Materials Management strategy and drive actions to reach Functional Excellence measured by OpA MM and MMA (including Growth projects, New Systems and Tools and Resiliency).
Develop and manage automated information systems to plan, monitor, and coordinate on-going inventory levels to provide maximum support for the production needs of the plant.
Ensure inventory availability for manufacturing.
Drive actions to improve ERP Health Data, Systems and inventory control.
You will lead the plant towards Eaton’s Supply Chain transformation, which includes: network planning, leveraging, implementing Kinaxis Rapid Response and Project Foresight.
2. SIOP: Lead site’s SIOP process.
Maintain continuous knowledge of company sales & market trends of products manufactured at the plant to determine current inventory volumes and future materials and inventory needs.
Manage and oversee the procurement of all goods, supplies, and services to support the production cycle time requirements of the plant.
Develop a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to ensure optimal inventory levels and material availability.
3. Procurement
Manage sources of supply to meet production requirements of the plant, proactively identifying risks and escalating in advance to ensure material availability.
Oversee the supplier selection process (location, selection, development and resiliency).
Develop and maintain effective contacts and working relationships with key suppliers.
Support ESSP process and Cost Out initiatives to source our parts with most favorable prices, quality, delivery time, etc.
Manage and oversee the award and administration of purchase orders and agreements in accordance with established company policies and procedures; resolve promptly any supplier problems.
Maintain knowledge and awareness of market changes in commodities to be purchased to ensure the availability of products/materials for manufacturing functions at competitive prices and within alternate sources of supply to meet production requirements of the plant.
4. BOC: Plan and manage training, instruction, and guidance to all subordinate supervisory and other employees to ensure their knowledge of proper equipment and use of accepted work processes and standards.
Remain knowledgeable of required personnel-related policies and procedures of the company; monitor and correct employee actions of behavior to ensure adherence with required policies, procedures, systems, and rules.
Develop the required skills in the team to enable Supply Chain Transformation strategy / Project Foresight and manage the organizational change.
5. PP: Plan, recommend, justify, and manage annual operating budgets and financial targets in accordance with known operational needs, strategies, and objectives.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or finance
• Seven (7) years’ experience in a manufacturing purchasing or production control environment
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in engineering, MBA, systems or finance
• Previous Materials Management supervision and leadership experience
• APICS / CPIM Certification
• Systems: Kinaxis Rapid Response, MAPICS, AS400, MS Excel (Advanced), Kinaxis, Palantir
Skills:
Position Success Criteria:
• Broad knowledge of a business and manufacturing enterprise, as well as computerized inventory systems.
• General understanding of accounting principles, industrial engineering, and manufacturing processes.
• Extensive understanding of laws that affect company purchasing policies, procedures, and decisions.
• Broad understanding of corporate and division purchasing policies and procedures.
• Ability to develop material plans that support sales and inventory objectives simultaneously for a multi-product plant.
