job summary:
An Avionics Technician is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Kennedy Space Center, FL area. Avionics Integration Technicians fabricate, inspect, and test avionics assemblies and wire harnesses for spaceflight systems, ensuring operational reliability, safety, and adherence to quality standards in support of the Artemis programs.

responsibilities:
- Fabricate wire harnesses and cables for electrical and electronic space system components.
- Assemble complex electromechanical projects and ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards.
- Read work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine required materials and assembly sequence.
- Install avionics components (PLCs, HMIs, relays, switches) and ensure reliable operation.
- Measure, cut, solder, and crimp wires to fabricate precise harnesses.
- Conduct inspections, tests, and verifications on avionics assemblies per technical models and specifications.
- Troubleshoot avionics system issues, performing repairs and maintenance to resolve malfunctions.
Skills:
- Experience in wire crimping, connector soldering, and reading engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with avionics manufacturing and test equipment, as well as IPC/WHMA, MIL, and NASA standards.
- strong communication skills and commitment to quality service.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree in related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical or cable fabrication.
