Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

  • Estimated annual base pay: $112,800 (minimum) - $141,000 (midpoint) - $167,000 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you are a Human Resources Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This highly influential role leads a wide variety of Human Resources related activities that impact a major subsequent (COE), integrated manufacturing facility and/or geographical area; typically, in a location of more than 350 members or across multiple locations. Much of this activity has broader impact on Woodward as a whole. The Human Resources Manager acts as a key company resource by partnering with business leaders in the assessment of business needs and by adapting HR practices, processes, procedures, and services in response to those needs. This position is responsible for designing and implementing products and services to meet critical business needs.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Designs, develops, and implements strategic HR plans that are based on top level Business Group and HR strategy at the site level. This includes Staffing, Manpower Planning, Recruitment, and Employment --- Consults with hiring leaders on the appropriate staffing strategies and leadership selection.
  • Performance Management --- Provides guidance and support to leaders and members on the Leading Performance Management Process (LPMP) that includes the Written Reflection, goal setting, Annual Conversation, and development planning as well as other performance tools such as Performance Improvement Planning.
  • Talent Management --- Assists leaders in the global talent assessment, succession planning, and development planning process designed to build current and future leaders. May assist in the preparation of the business group annual talent management review.
  • Learning and Development -- -Provides consultation and support to leaders and members in the areas of member development and training.
  • Member Relations --- Understand and resolve HR issues and their broader impact on company policies and practices. This includes completing and assigning ethics investigations.


What We Are Looking For
  • US - master's degree in arts/sciences (MA/MS) MBA or Human Resources preferred.
  • US - bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Business Administration or Human Resources required.
  • 5+ years' Experience of leadership work preferred. Experience of related work required.
  • Labor Relations experience required: Manages bargaining and non-bargaining employment and negotiations with union representatives.
  • Project Management --- Executes components of the Global and local Human Resources strategic plan that apply to assigned client groups and leads global project teams as needed. Strong ability to plan, organize and manage a heavy workload while directing the work of others.
  • Strong client focus, communication, influencing skills; ability to collaborate and influence all layers throughout the site.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues without detailed instruction or procedural guidance. Provide guidance to HR staff in the resolution of complex issues in accordance with Company policies, philosophy and in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Strong business understanding and the ability to connect HR solutions with business performance.
  • A person of unquestionable honesty and integrity; demonstrates an outstanding work ethic.
  • Travel: Occasional domestic and international.
