As the Marketing Communication Associate Copywriter for Stryker’s Medical Division, you will have the opportunity to shape the narrative of our brand, developing messages that engage and create an extraordinary experience for our customers. From writing copy to support the product collateral needs, to large campaign advertising efforts, you will be at the forefront of our creative initiatives, turning ideas into compelling stories that drive our Medical division forward. This is a dynamic, highly collaborative role requiring creativity, collaboration, attention to detail and drive.

This is a hybrid role based in our office in Cary, IL. Local candidate preferred.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develops engaging and persuasive copy for all forms of communication channels and various mediums (digital advertising, web, print collateral, presentations, scripts, etc.).
  • Generate stand-alone copy to complement visual concepts created by creative team.
  • Write comprehensive campaign messaging - from long-form articles to short-form digital ads.
  • Supports the development of persuasive, benefit-driven messaging.
  • Leverage editing techniques and tools to help with proofreading.
  • Understand and embrace Stryker’s brand voice and tone. Ensure it comes out through all pieces of writing.
  • Bring our brand storytelling to life in our marketing efforts, finding creative solutions that propel our business forward.
  • Writes using correct language, tone and grammar.
  • Ability to properly cite references to support copy.
  • Collaborative partner with Legal, Regulatory and Clinical teams
  • Supports the communication strategies that result from the strategic planning process
  • Demonstrates fresh and compelling ideas in own work.
  • Describes the process for researching creative ideas.
  • Be an active participant in creative brainstorms.

WHAT YOU NEED:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/integrated marketing, advertising, communication, or relevant field.
  • 0+ years of work experience.

Preferred:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a creative, communication, advertising role.
  • Internship experience related to marketing, advertising, and/or healthcare.
