Responsibilities
- Assists in developing and implementing CUI policies and procedures
- Ensures compliance with federal regulations and guidelines, including Executive Order 13556 and 32 CFR Part 2002
- Monitors and evaluates NSF’s CUI practices and processes to identify areas for improvement
- Conducts risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities related to handling and protecting CUI
- Develops and recommends mitigation strategies to address identified risks
- Develops and delivers training programs and materials to educate staff on CUI requirements and best practices
- Conducts regular CUI awareness sessions and refresher courses for employees and contractors
- Responds to and investigate CUI-related incidents, breaches, or violations
- Coordinates with relevant departments to implement corrective actions and prevent future incidents
- Works closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive protection of CUI
- Serves as a point of contact for CUI-related inquiries and issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or 3-5 years of experience in Information Security, Information Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of federal regulations and guidelines related to CUI
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal presentation skills
- Extremely strong technical writing skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance
