Mental Health Doctoral Lecturer (Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs) FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT The Department of Educational Foundations and Counseling Programs in Hunter College???s School of Education seeks candidates for a Doctoral Lecturer position effective January 25, 2025. Duties include: Teaching four graduate courses of teaching in the academic year (24 credits) Student advisement and supporting graduate mental health counseling students and program Serving on department and college-wide committees and offices, where appropriate Participating in professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association or American Mental Health Counseling Association QUALIFICATIONS All candidates should either have earned a doctoral degree in counselor education or a related counseling doctoral degree; or have been employed as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 1, 2013 . Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) preferred.Teaching at the university-level and counseling/clinical experience is required; supervision experience is preferred. ABD will be considered but a doctorate degree must be conferred prior to the start date. All candidates should have experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to working in multicultural and urban settings.
