Position Number: 350121 The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in the McAnulty College and Graduate School of Liberal Arts at Duquesne University invites applications for a non tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor position in computer science for the Spring 2023 semester. The successful candidate will join twenty other full-time departmental faculty. The department offers undergraduate majors in computer science, cybersecurity studies, data science, mathematics, and applied mathematics, as well as a Masters degree in computer science and a multidisciplinary Master's program in computational mathematics and statistics. A Ph.D./A.B.D. in computer science or a closely related discipline is preferred, but candidates with an M.S. degree and extensive applicable experience will also be considered. A successful candidate who does not possess a Ph.D. will be hired as a Visiting Instructor of Computer Science. Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in systems. The standard teaching load for NTT faculty is 12 credits per semester. Remote applicants will be considered. Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
