Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide functional first level support and configuration services to the finance community related to all Fixed Asset, Lease, Treasury and Cash Accounting processes and tools at Exelon. Prioritize and direct the work of IT and the application vendors for work impacting PowerPlan Fixed Asset and Lease systems, Kyriba Treasury system and Trintech Cadency cash reconciliation system.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide Power Plant application support for Fixed Asset & Lease.
- Perform configuration management and implement system fixes, updates, and enhancements by working closely with IT and the Finance Community
- Manage and support application close processes
- Facilitate business process improvement through the use of technology
- Provide help desk support and training to Fixed Asset, Lease and Tax user communities
- Maintain required documentation to support Sarbanes Oxley controls and audit requests
Job Scope
JOB SCOPE
This position is an application support role requiring the ability to understand business requirements for the Treasury, Cash Accounting, and Plant Accounting areas and how to work with IT/Software Vendor to implement and support the technology solution. Requires the ability to interact with the functional and technical owners of multiple systems, to do impact analysis on system change requests and the ability to analyze and diagnose system issues in an accurate and timely manner. Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, project management abilities and a customer service orientation are required.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, general business administration or computer science. Minimum 0-2 years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, financial systems, or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting including FAS 143 and FERC898. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Project Costing. Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity. Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls including SOX controls. Internal accounting controls acumen. Solid analytical capabilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities. PowerPlan Fixed Assets modules version 10.4.3 or newer, and/or PowerPlan Lease modules version 2017.4 or newer, and/or PeopleSoft Project Costing or similar, and/or Kyriba Treasury system or similar, and/or Trintech Cadency (T-Recs) cash matching and reconciliation system or similar Microsoft Office 365 Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams)
