NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn, in New York City, is actively recruiting for several trauma critical care surgeons. The ideal candidates must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery and fellowship trained in trauma and critical care with an interest in acute care surgery. Strong minimally invasive surgery skills are highly desired. All experience levels are welcome including new graduates. Leadership opportunities are available for experienced candidates.
Faculty members within the Division must be committed to the tripartite mission of the department and school of medicine: clinical excellence, education, and innovative research. Faculty members are expected to regularly participate in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. A commitment to any one of a broad array of research interests is desirable, including but not limited to clinical, outcomes, health services, basic science, translational, ethics, education, or global surgery. In addition, faculty members are expected to participate in collaborative hospital-wide committees. The selected candidates must be team-oriented and be able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the division.
These positions will expand our Emergency Acute Care/Trauma division which currently sees 300 Level 1 activations, 800 Level 2 activationsr, 950 trauma consults and 1100 operative cases per year. Clinical responsibilities will include trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care coverage. Candidate will join the division alongside six other full-time trauma critical care surgeons.

Recent Graduates considered.
Current NYS Medical License.
Current Board Certification or Board Eligibility (American Board of Surgery) in General Surgery.
Fellowship trained in Trauma and Critical Care.
Strong Minimally Invasive Surgery skills are highly desired.
