Job Summary The Executive Education delivery team is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of a portfolio of Executive Education programs. Program assignments may include both open enrollment and custom programs, and include both on-site and virtual delivery. Position Description Reporting to an Associate Director of Program Delivery, primary responsibilities include: Staff Management: Directs and manages two program coordinators; defines and communicates work standards and perform expectations, manages workflow through delegation and scheduled check in meetings, advises and facilitates professional development, provides ongoing feedback, trains new staff and provides ongoing coaching, communicates, motivates and guides staff around new processes and policies, serves as a role model. Program Analysis and Management of Logistics: Makes strategic decisions that affect and impact the success of the program, seeks and maintains knowledge of best practices and plans accordingly, track s and monitors program budget, facilitates a seamless participant experience and maintains the highest level of customer service among the team, manages and tracks enrollment for all accepted participants. Relationship Management: Establishes and manages expectations with faculty, internal constituents, external clients, and portfolio directors, maintains and disseminates program delivery updates, manages scope of delivery with external clients, manages internal and external vendors, negotiates with vendors, serves as the point person between all Conflict Resolution: Identifies and responds to potential areas of conflict, serves as the escalation point for all external client and participant concerns, uses judgment and escalates issues as appropriate. Crisis Management: Manages last minute program changes in real time, manages medical, weather, and other emergency situations. Leadership: Demonstrates the ability to; guide and deliver programs and other projects, support and facilitate department wide initiatives and business goals, motivate, encourage, and inspire staff, embrace and support change and deliver results, empower others. This role is also responsible for other duties as required. Basic Qualifications College degree strongly preferred Five or more years of related experience required Additional Qualifications and Skills Direct line management/supervisory roles and/or proven project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience collaborating across a team and bringing projects to fruition. This position requires a willingness and ability to work with multiple groups within Executive Education and across campus in a fast paced, high-energy environment. Prior experience in an academic environment is preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong customer service orientation Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build, nurture, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders Comfortable commanding and speaking to large groups Working Conditions Ability to work extended overtime hours (including some evenings and weekends) is a must while programs are in session. This position may also include domestic or international travel depending on program needs. First 90 days of employment fully in person, on campus (hybrid option following) Additional Information This is a hybrid position which we consider to be a combination of onsite and remote work at our Boston, MA based campus. Please note that for the first 90 days of employment, you will be expected to be onsite 5 days/week. This role is required to be onsite for the entire duration of a program when in-session. When not in session, Executive Education expects Program staff to be onsite a minimum of 2 days per week and departments to provide onsite coverage Monday ? Friday. Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice. A cover letter is required to be considered for this opportunity.
