Subcontract Management Staff - Military Veterans

Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control, SOF GLSS (Special Operations Forces - Global Logistic Sustainment Services) contract provide logistics and sustainment supporting multiple programs and platforms.
With an established supply base around the world we are currently seeking an experienced supply chain / acquisition professional to join our Global Supply Chain Management team in the Lexington, KY area.
Duties include but are not limited to in support of SOF Aviation:
• Management of large subcontracts from Request for Proposal, to contract creation, through the life cycle of the effort
• Management of cost, schedule and performance
• Working supplier corrective actions and return to green efforts as required
• Reporting status to Sr. and executive leadership
• Working closely with Compliance supporting audits
• Serving as a mentor and knowledge resource on basic and complex subcontracts, including those with
Spec/SOW(Statement of Work) driven requirements, and other specific procurements, as required

Basic Qualifications:
• Significant Acquisition / procurement /Subcontract experience
• Comprehensive understanding of Global Supply Chain and/or complex Government procurement concepts and best practices
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to analyze multiple data sources
• Solid communication skills
• Comprehensive understanding of negotiations and ability to analyze pricing to establish a negotiation position
• Demonstrated experience with proposal evaluations (Price/Cost Analysis) and negotiations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
• Statement of work experience
• Strong Subcontracting background in Government contracts
• Experience leading teams and project initiatives
• Experience with lean initiatives and supporting cross functional teams
Desired Skills:
• Understanding of Special Operations Forces infrastructure
• Background in competitive procurement
• Handling complex negotiations
• Cross-functional knowledge of Supplier Quality and Engineering, as they relate to subcontract management
• Ability to create and present using Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to interact with senior management, suppliers and other external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between functional organizations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
