Our client is a municipality that has an urgent need for an Employee Benefits Specialist.
The ideal Benefits specialists need to have extensive knowledge of employee benefits and the laws that govern them, as well as excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. They should also be computer literate and able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
This candidate will have 5+ years of experience.
Duties:
Assisting with benefits enrollments.
Knowledge of employee benefits and laws.
Assisting with benefits enrollments.
Maintains employee benefits files.
Manage compensation request.
Manage and administer employee benefit and compensation programs, including disability insurance, retirement benefits, healthcare plans, life insurance, and more.
Must have a strong knowledge of federal and state laws; for example Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) or changing contribution amounts in a 401(k) account.
This a contract position.
