Affirmative Action No.:: 25Y016 First Consideration Date:: 11/18/2024 Department:: School of Professional Psychology Position FTE:: 100% Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate: Negotiable Job Purposes:: To educate doctoral students in clinical psychology; to participate in service, scholarship, and teaching activities consistent with the mission of WSU and SOPP . Required Qualifications:: Applicants must have a doctoral degree from an APA -accredited institution, completed an APA -accredited internship, demonstrated ability to teach practitioner students, and be licensed in Ohio as a psychologist or be able to acquire licensure in Ohio within one year of appointment (except for the Clinical Professor level) . Applicants must also have a broad commitment to the practitioner model of professional education. In order to be considered at the Clinical Associate level , the candidate must have documented evidence of sustained and high-quality activity in at least one of the three areas of scholarship, teaching, or service. Evidence of sustained, high quality activity should be recognized by others in his/her/their field within the SOPP , the region, and preferably at the national level. Performance in the other two areas must also be judged to be at least effective and sustained. In order to be considered at the Clinical Professor level , the candidate must be licensed in Ohio as a psychologist or be able to acquire licensure in Ohio within six months of appointment . In addition, candidate must have documented evidence of sustained, superior quality activity in at least one of the three areas of academic scholarly, innovative, and/or creative activity, teaching, or service, as defined in the introduction. Evidence of sustained, superior activity should be recognized by others in his/her/their field at the national or international level. Performance in the other two areas must also be judged to be at least at a level of sustained high quality over the period of the faculty member's appointment. Preferred Qualifications:: Licensure in Ohio at the time of hire. While areas of specialty remain open, we are particularly interested in strong generalist applicants with teaching and scholarship in one or more of the following areas: diversity/equity/inclusion, child/adolescent/family psychology, forensics, neuropsychology, statistics/research methods, and/or psychopharmacology. If applicants are interested in departmental leadership opportunities, it is preferred that applicants have administrative experience in key roles (e.g., committee chair, associate director of clinical training). Potential Leadership and Service Opportunities: Director, Psychological Assessment Services ( PAS )- 12-month full time faculty position with assigned professional responsibilities for administration, clinical supervision, teaching, scholarship and service. Adjustments in the faculty teaching and service expectations are made for the faculty member in this administrative role. Also opportunity to supervise students within PAS . Director of Clinical Training- 12-month full time faculty position with assigned professional responsibilities for administration, teaching, scholarship and service. Adjustments in the faculty teaching and service expectations are made for the faculty member in this administrative role.
