A Psychaitric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) contributes to AHF by bringing their expertise psychiatric-mental health lense in working with the diverse populations served in our medical centers. The PMHNP works collaboratively with the patient to improve their health, emotional, mental and social outcomes.
A PMHNP enhances the reputation of AHF by serving as a part of a multidisciplinary medial treatment team approach providing a patient a comprehensive care experience. The PMHNP is able to help patient's optimize their quality of life through the use of initial and on-going psychiatric evaluations, comprehensive treatment plans and regular medication management. The PMHNP helps a patient achieve their identified goal (s), including stabilization of their emotional/mental well-being as well as medication and medical care compliance.
