Job Summary:
HCA Florida Highlands Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our practice in Sebring, Florida and support our sister hospitals, HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee and HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Ft. Pierce.QUALIFIED CANDIDATES
- Must be board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) OR, American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Must be flexible and open to working shifts at HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee and HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Ft. Pierce
- New grads with an interest in Emergency Medicine may apply

HCA Florida Highlands Hospital, located in Sebring, Florida, is a 126-bed inpatient, full-service facility. Serving the community since 1965, Highlands Hospital has received numerous awards and recognition as a leading health care provider in Highlands County and surrounding areas offering a full spectrum of services. The hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), which focuses on the quality and safety of care. Sebring is located just 85 miles south of Orlando and 95 miles southwest of Tampa. HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital, located in Okeechobee, Florida, is a 100-bed acute care facility providing the community of Okeechobee and the surrounding areas a full range of medical, surgical and emergency services. This Emergency Room is comprised of 11 beds including 3 in fast-track and sees an annual patient volume of 29,000. It has an approximate admission rate of 20%, has an active partnership with its sister facility with a close proximity for Trauma, OB, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery and Pediatric support/transfers, provides 24 hours of physician coverage as well as 24 hours of Advanced Practice Professional coverage, and is a Primary Stroke Center. Okeechobee is a quaint, progressive community, that provides an escape from the hustle and bustle with convenience to Florida attractions and beaches within a short drive. Okeechobee is just 35 miles west of the City of Port Saint Lucie, 60 miles Northwest of West Palm Beach, 90 miles south of the greater Orlando Metro area and 75 miles Northeast of I-75 in Fort Myers.
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital, located in Fort Pierce, is a 497-bed acute care teaching hospital that provides a full range of specialty services, including advanced cardiology, emergency medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, surgery and is home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast. It is a Five-Start Recipient for the Treatment of Heart Attack by Healthgrades, has a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, is a Comprehensive Stroke Center Accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a Top Performer, holds the only CARF Accreditation on the Treasure Coast, and is the area’s only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
